Due to its unusual vegetated shingle habitat, Shoreham Beach was declared a Local Nature Reserve (LNR) in 2006. Friends of Shoreham Beach (FoSB) are a group of volunteers with a deep love for the sea and its environs, who are responsible for protecting and educating others about the habitat, its plants and its wildlife. Helping everyone to enjoy the LNR while understanding their potential impact upon this unique environment. Find out more below.
