Happy New year to everyone, and already the beach is being pounded by waves of the various storms. Storm Getrude is pushing some big swells up at the moment and as usual the beach is getting its fair share of debris. Plenty of wood for the the log burners, but the big problem has been the sudden appearance of a waxy substance which looks like Palm Oil or some petro-chemical derivative, The Environmental Agency are advising us to leave it be until they can both identify it and get some sort of beach cleaning process agreed. FoSB will be out there once the go ahead is given. Until then, keep your dogs away from the high water marks.
