After a long and protracted grant application process, FoSB are delighted to announce that the Awards for All Foundation has awarded us £6729 towards new signs and information boards for the Local Nature reserve. It will allow us to renew and update the existing lecterns at Ferry Rd and Shoreham Fort, but also to place new lecterns at all of the beach entrances now opened up as access to the beach boardwalk extension.

Despite Shoreham Beach being an approved Local Nature Reserve since 2006, few visitors are aware of the fragile nature of the beach environment and these signs will hopefully help to address this and prevent barbeques and vegetation removal by those not in the know.

Work will start on the design and commission of the boards following the coming committee meeting on Feb 29th.
