Thank you to everyone who took part in our walk and to all our new and renewed members. And thank you to our four experienced walk leaders. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

The Shoreham Beach Local Nature Reserve was in full bloom for the Friends Annual Flower walk on 21st May. Starting on the Local Wildlife Site that is the area on which the Fort stands and progressing West on the LNR.

Tick lists of 45 plants were given. Over 50 people attended and were led in four groups and plants identified and their amazing adaptations to the harsh salty environment explained as well as principles of managing this rare habitat.
